Harriet Groß
Paper as a carrier of knowledge. With the work designed for the gatehouse of the old mint, Harriet Groß continues her Vocabulary project. The gatekeeper as an interface between private and public space becomes the threshold through which stories flow, are filtered and recycled. With its long network structure, "Vocabulary V - chorus" guides the view from the outside into the luminous interior of those processes in all their forms, which reflect the circular idea of the knowledge underlying everything as a polyphonic echo.
Harriet Groß, *1967 in Munich, lives and works in Berlin.
After studying medicine at the Free University, she studied fine art at the Berlin University of the Arts and the Royal College of Art in London. She has received numerous scholarships and grants for her work. Her works are regularly presented in solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad and are part of private and public collections. Together with artist friends, she runs the Axel Obiger project space.
