Angelika Wolpert

Angelika Wolpert's works are about change processes, the possibilities of perceiving and shaping them. In the present moment, she finds the connection between past and future. The conscious integration of artisanal techniques expresses her appreciation for materials and the transformative power of creative work. In the dialogic process, paths of transformation are explored and attention is drawn to the potential of change and the poetry of the ephemeral.

Angelika Wolpert turned to paper in 1986 during her training as a master goldsmith and jewellery designer and has been working as a freelance artist in Berlin ever since. She has taken part in numerous exhibitions in Germany and abroad, received the Berlin State Prize, art scholarships from the Else Heiliger Fund and the Kulturwerk VG Bild-Kunst and residency scholarships for the artists' houses in Worpswede, Eckernförde and Cismar.
