Gisela Kleinlein

The sculptor Gisela Kleinlein is a researcher of the material. She is interested in its inherent possibilities, its variability and its ability to transform. For some time now, questioning the consumption of resources in artistic production, dealing with sustainability and the requirements of climate change have played an important role. Paper, as a material with high recycling potential, is also used again and again.

Kleinlein's inventions and productions oscillate between recognizability, memory, alienation, absurdity, familiarity and irritation.
